We are looking for students or those in the early stages of their career to join our Summer Internship Programme 2026, a 3-month paid Internship between June and August 2026.
About the role:
Our Visualisation Team have a project focussing on improving their rendering technology, that is used in multiple clinical applications across Canon Medical. This provides an opportunity for the successful candidate to develop skills in computer graphics and medical imaging.
About you

You should be at the following stage of your studies to apply:
You should have some knowledge of writing software. Relevant skills for this project are C++, and Computer Graphics. Additionally, mathematical knowledge of 3D Geometry and linear algebra is a requisite for this topic.

To be considered for this vacancy please apply below. Closing date for all applications for the Summer Internship Programme is 11th January 2026. Following the closing date, a shortlist will be drawn up and successful candidates contacted to proceed to the next stage of the recruitment process.
The placements are planned to commence on 1st June 2026, although there is flexibility in this. The internships will adopt a hybrid working approach between our Edinburgh office and home working. Based on recent feedback from previous interns, some time working in the office should be expected to fully benefit from the experience.
Candidates are welcome to apply for more than one of our internship projects if they have a genuine interest in multiple topics.
